The Dark Ivory Tower of Academia
"The folly of God is greater than the wisdom of this world."
I have been so stupid. We live in a bastion of ignorance, here at the center of the world. Our nation is blinded to the reality of a spiritual world.
To illustrate my point, lets think of the idea of a tactless, socially clumsy and awkward homeschooler entering the business world. All this young fool knows is what he has been taught in his cloistered world, and is completely unaware of the deceptiveness of schmoozing business associates. Their smiles and compliments all work wonders on him, manipulating his god given talent and hard work by making him to believe that he is greatly appreciated. This young man is me five years ago.
Compare that young man with the average everyday American: we are incredibly sheltered and made to believe (with faulty logic) that the world is under the control of human beings who are merely what we believe them to be: a higher form of ape. We only see biology and physical appearances. Psychology and sociology add to our rationalizing of why people behave the way they do, but in truth, there is so much more beyond all that.
If mere humans with low intelligence and a limited grasp on the world could learn to lie convincingly, how much more do you think Demons and Spiritual Beings could also learn to manipulate our minds, making us to suppose that there is no spiritual world?
This is what the dark ivory tower of academia and esoterica has done so effectively: it has blinded us. By far the worst workings of the enemy are done in a place where they go completely unnoticed: the influential center of the world, where deep knowledge of random humanist topics and monetary power go hand in hand (ironically, as a direct result of spiritual truth and the gospel).
Try to convince me otherwise, but I have heard a few firsthand accounts and countless secondhand accounts from categorically trustworthy sources to believe otherwise: there is a spiritual world out there which manifest itself very obviously in the physical world through the means of witch doctors and animistic or voodoo magicians throughout the third world. Step outside your comfort zone for a moment by crossing the borders of the money-laden delusion of the first world, and you will see very clearly the realm of fear and death that demons keep the poor under. It is a prison of Satan, and is only enforced by an agnostic-dominated realm of ignorance here in America, which is itself the worst machination of the enemy.
